An Ariane 5 ECA, the heavy-lift variant of the launcher, is scheduled to take off from Europe’s Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, in the early hours of tomorrow morning. The launch opportunity begins at 01:44 CEST/Paris tomorrow morning (20:44 Kourou time, 23:44 UTC/GMT [14 August]) and lasts for 37 minutes.

The payload for this mission is two telecommunications satellites: SPACEWAY 3, which will deliver broadband services throughout North America, and BSAT-3a, which will provide direct television links for Japan.
