The German start-up company AEVO develops and provides intelligent software for the efficient management of complex resources. The company also provides consultancy services for assessing the efficiency of current products and processes, as well as how to make them more efficient.
The Initial target groups are companies in the area of transportation and communication with significantly complex operations. The solutions provided by AEVO are based on spin-off from methods used in the planning of communications at ESA.
Project: Multi Objective Scheduling
AEVO has developed the software Multi Objective Scheduling for optimisation of time schedules. It is based upon research into several artificial intelligence methods that have shown significant results in spacecraft planning.
In addition, AEVO is developing a complete system to allow optimisation to be performed in-house by customers themselves, without specialist knowledge of the underlying theory.
From space to industry
The team at AEVO has years of experience in the space sector as well as in the automotive industry, adding familiarity with the practical challenges of optimisation, the need for dependable results, and the potentially conflicting issues of resources, constraints, and policies.
AEVO objective is to make effective tools and to make them user friendly by abstracting from the most complex part of the problems by use of accurate models.
AEVO turns around multi-objective and highly constrained robust optimisation tools instead of leaving them as abstract mathematical challenges.
AEVO hopes to capitalise on the savings which such extreme optimisation procedures allow, offering the market an efficient approach for dealing with complex operations, planning and resourcing challenges, and scheduling tasks.
AEVO is currently cooperating with the German Space Agency (DLR) and several of its institutes.
ESA Business Incubation
The company AEVO is hosted at ESA's Business Incubation Centre (ESA BIC) Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany, from April 2010 until May 2012.
AEVO receives support from ESA BIC Oberpfaffenhofen, DLR and the Economic Ministry of Bayern.
AEVO is under incubation at ESA BIC Oberpfaffenhofen located in Gilching, Germany.
