SemsoTec develops high-security business applications based on a combination of biometric sensor technology, satellite positioning, and innovative display technology.
The vision is to reform mobile business and contracting by simplifying and most notably securing business transactions.
The company also provides engineering services mainly for display techniques and infotainment innovation for the automotive industry.
Project: Biometric Security System
SemsoTec now wants to use people’s natural and unique handwritten signatures to replace passwords and PINs.
Highly sensitive biometric sensors assembled in a smart pen device analyse the dynamic characteristics of the user’s writing behaviour by means of parameters such as finger grip pressure, acceleration, and vibration.
After storing this information once, the smart pen identifies and authorises a person based on a simple signature – it’s easy, tamper-proof, and confidential!
Forget all your passwords – rely on your biometry!
Unlike conventional signature comparison systems that use digitized images, SemsoTec utilizes the dynamic characteristics of the user's writing behavior. It is unique to that person and provides very accurate recognition.
From space to industry
SemsoTec´s aim is to provide high-security solutions for business applications like mobile contracting or transactions.
Since those processes require a high level of transparency and traceability, the pen encodes stored GPS-data from a mobile device, so that transactions and the use of a biometric signature can be retraced and proofed at any time.
Via GSM, digitized notes or contracts can immediately be transmitted to central databases or servers.
