Description of the offer:
The present invention relates to a method for compressing time series data, to a telemetric device, a central processing unit and to a system for processing housekeeping telemetric time series data telemetric parameters used to monitor remotely the operation of a remote device.
Housekeeping telemetric data has a lower data volume consumption than scientific time series data. The present invention relates to a near real-time lossless statistical based compression method. The method is applied to time series data of repeated measurements of a connected physically constrained system. Repeated measurements of a physically constrained, connected system, such as a satellite, a spacecraft, a space rover, an oil rig, a vehicle, a factory, an aircraft, a submarine or a ship, generate time series data with statistical properties that can be exploited by the present invention. These statistical properties make it easier to obtain rich information from the compressed time series data. The compression method is based on the predictability of the states of the bits. And bit states represent the state of the remote system signals, sensors, etc.
The invention also comprises a central station processing and receiving time series data of a telemetry device and a telemetry device configured to compress and transmit time series data.
