Seeking funding for high-tech spin-off companies

    20 January 2009

The third ESA annual Investment Forum will take place in Brussels on 7 April. It brings together international investors specialised in seed and early stage funding, looking for hot new ideas, and innovative fledgling high-tech companies, who are seeking funds to get their business up and running.

Organised jointly by ESA’s Technology Transfer Programme Office (TTPO) in collaboration with Europe Unlimited, the EC project KIS4Sat and European Business & Innovation Centre Network (EBN), the ESA Investment Forum is a vehicle to propel new and exciting technology ventures, which use space technology for different applications, fostering not only innovation but ultimately European industry.

    Apply now

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-up companies that base a significant portion of their growth and competitive advantage on the use of a broad spectrum of technologies originating from space (e.g. satellite navigation) and their applications can apply to present their venture in front of international investors. The best companies will be selected to take part in ESA Investment Forum 2009.

Are you representing an eligible start-up company and interested in applying? Or are you a venture capitalist interested in participating?
    If so, please register here.

ESA's Technology Transfer Programme Office (TTPO)

The main mission of the TTPO is to facilitate the use of space technology and space systems for non-space applications and to demonstrate the benefit of the European space programme to European citizens. The office is responsible for defining the overall approach and strategy for the transfer of space technologies including the incubation of start-up companies and their funding.
