    Technology Transfer Opportunities

Technologies which result from the various European space programmes and which are being developed within European industry are made available on the Technology Forum website supported by ESA’s Technology Transfer Programme Office (TTPO) and maintained by MST Aerospace GmbH, the manager of ESA’s Technology Transfer Network (TTN).

The Technology Forum website enables organizations to search for technologies, submit requests for technologies, promote their own technologies, and discuss problems and solutions with experts. The aim of this virtual market place is to facilitate the process of technology exchange. At present there are some 450 technologies and materials available for transfer or licensing included in the database .

The Technology Forum is an online market place oriented towards innovative space technology. It offers organisations the ability to:

    • search for technologies
    • submit requests for technologies not appearing in the market place
    • offer solutions for technical requests
    • promote their technologies, services or know-how.

    ESA patent evaluations

Space technology serves European citizens in non-space systems
Space technology serves European citizens in many non-space products

A technology transfer process can also be started by ESA’s Technology Transfer Programme Office (TTPO) evaluating existing ESA patents to identify transfer opportunities. This is done in close collaboration with the ESA Patent Group.

    Expert network

ESA has access to a broad network of technical experts in the non-space industry through the technology brokers that form part of the Technology Transfer Network (TTN).

Questions regarding technology transfer opportunities can be forwarded to the TTPO at: ttp@esa.int or by contacting MST Aerospace directly.
