Sample containment

Planetary protection is twofold: avoiding contamination of the target planet by bio-molecules shipped from Earth and avoiding back contamination by rock samples collected on the surface of Mars that is one step further in terms of consequences and technology.

This can be mitigated by sealing a so-called sample container and monitoring sealing during the trip back to Earth.
