|  | CDF wins European Technical Communications Award 26 April 2013 The ESA CDF has been awarded the prestigious bi-annual award for outstanding services to technical communication by TCeurope as part of a Colloquium held in Brussels on the 19th April 2013.
TCeurope is an umbrella organisation representing professionals from all areas of technical communication in ten European countries, including writers, illustrators, editors, trainers, web content designers, teachers and translators. The main areas of activity of TCeurope is the development of technical communication standards and guidelines, the advance of technical education and training programmes in Europe and the promotion of technical communications at an international level.

 SysNova Workshop 29 January 2013 ESA's Future Preparation and Strategic Studies Office and its General Studies Programme (GSP) held the first SysNova Workshop on 22nd January 2013 in the Concurrent Design Facility (CDF) at ESTEC (Netherlands). SysNova is a new space concept competition proposed by the European Space Agency (ESA) to compare solutions to given space mission challenges.
Every year GSP will propose several topics related to new technology potentials beyond current ESA programmes and Teams composed of experts from academia, research institutes and industry can submit their proposals and compete for a final prize.
