22-23 June 2006

Presentation :

Earth observation, space telecommunications and satellite positioning systems, are well integrated in our professional activities and in our everyday life.

The technical changes and continual extension that characterize space activities and their applications, underline the issue of the international legal instruments and the need for countries to set up legal framework to protect their interests. Furthermore, privatisation and commercialisation are gaining a wider place in various sectors of space activities, which lead to new legal relations and implications.

Within this context, the CRTS is organising, in cooperation with the European Centre for Space Law (ECSL) an international workshop on 22-23 June, 2006 in Rabat. This workshop, with the participation of high level international experts in space law, will give an opportunity to present to the participants, international treaties and conventions that govern spaces activities and debate on space law evolution within the perspectives of the latest technological developments.
