ESA’s Gravity field and steady state Ocean Circulation Explorer (GOCE) is a unique satellite that will map the Earth's gravity field for a better understanding of our planet.

Although GOCE was due to lift-off in September 2008, launch has been postponed pending a technical issue on the Rockot launcher.
