Annapurna Conservation Area - Worksheet introduction
 
We will be using different satellite images to show the beauty and grandeur of the Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA) and its environment.

Download teh file annapurna.zip and save the images to your hard disk in a folder named 'Annapurna'.

Download LEOWorks (see right of page).

Download ArcExplorer (see right of page).  
 
Some of the following exercises require the use of the LEOWorks software and the GIS-tool ArcExplorer2.

LEOWorks has been developed by ESA and can be downloaded here on the right.

ArcExplorer is a lightweight GIS data viewer developed by ESRI. This freely available software offers an easy way to perform basic GIS functions. ArcExplorer is used for a variety of display, query, and data retrieval applications and supports a wide variety of standard data sources. It can be used on its own with local data sets, or as a client for Internet data and map servers.
