Mars Express design competition
The second round of ESA's "Picture Mars" competition ended on 28 May 2003 but these entries, received from Portuguese students studying art at a school near Lisbon, were too good not be shared with visitors to our Mars Express site.
In April ESA asked Portal visitors to send in their ideas of what Mars looks. The best of the entries, together with the name of the artist, have been published under the Portal Focus on section as well as on the Mars Express site.
Europe is now well on its way to Mars. Mars Express was launched on 2 June and is expected to arrive at the Red Planet at the end of December. Keep checking the Mars Express site for the latest news.
