The development and construction of a solar boat
Reducing Emission: The development and construction of a solar boat and a solar canoe

Subject Environmental
Level Upper secondary
Language English
Type Project/team work

CO2 and other emissions produced by modern-day combustion engines cause global warming with the consequence of storms and foods(for example Hurricane Katrina) and smog. It is therefore necessary to search for more environmentally friendly ways. After we had built a solar powered car we converted a combustion-engined boat into a solar boat with a 330 Watt solar roof. We could demonstrate that our solar-driven boat needs only a fth of the energy compared with combustionengine-driven.
