In no more than 10 mins, more than 10 experiments can be performed! Sublimation, diffusion, flame colouration, several redox reactions, components of acid rain, characteristics of vitamin C, unsaturated properties of acetylene – all these can be produced by detonating coloured vapours, in the course of student experiments.

Is all the above possible? Certainly not with traditional tools! There are no test tubes in the sea or in living organisms, yet lots of complicated reactions do indeed take place in a second. This new, unusual method and its tools, which are designed for children’s hands and for a school situation, make it possible for our pupils to carry out experiments in a professional and safe way. Using a cheap method with one hundredth of the quantity of chemicals normally used (therefore in an environmental-friendly way) we can carry out spectacular and often surprising experiments in all fields of chemistry. Not only can traditional experiments be adapted and dangerous demonstrations made safely possible but we can also develop new experiments and tricks in cooperation with our pupils.

This method and and its unusual tools have been successfully applied in more than a hundred Hungarian schools and applied for students preparing themselves to university studies. It has also been presented at World and European Chemistry Teachers’ Conferences and won several awards. The total amount of chemicals needed for 10 experiments can be packed into a thimble and all the necessary tools and instruments fit into a small biscuit box!
