National event "Physics and Astronomy Education using ICT"

National Festival "Science on Stage",
Pleven, September 23, 2005
The National Festival "Science on Stage" took place on 23st September in Pleven — a city, located approximately in the middle of north Bulgaria. Pleven was chosen because as place with traditions, related with the Natural Sciences education. About 450 pupils and 50 teachers took part in the Festival. But in fact the number of participants was much bigger.
The most interesting actions were:
- Exhibition of devices, made by pupils
- Student theater staging, related with physics, astronomy and other scientific aspects
- Multimedia presentations as well as computer programs, related with natural sciences were shown
The National Festival showed how teaching with new and attractive methods can cause interest among students and desire to receive more profound knowledge.
