The French-Dutch start-up company EATOPS provides advanced tools and systems to remotely monitor gas and oil offshore installations. Their Remote Intuitive Visual Operations (RIVOPS) solution is based on monitoring and control technology developed by ESA for satellite control. The system uses innovative monitoring concepts and advanced graphical display functions to support the operators responsible for the correct functioning and safety of offshore installations.

Novel 3D display for improved overview

RIVOPS displays the status of monitored parameters in three-dimensional (3D) representation. This was developed for satellite control to improve visibility. Transferred to RIVOPS, it was enhanced with a range of features designed specifically for offshore oil and gas rigs.
