From May to October 2002 the Nuna solar car and some of the Alpha Centauri team will make an educational tour through the Member States of the European Space Agency.

The racing car that won the Australian solar car race, The World Solar Challenge Rally, benefits from the most recent European space technology and expertise. See the ESA Outreach website for more information about the solar car: http://www.estec.esa.nl/outreach

We are pleased to inform you that secondary schools in the European Member States have the possibility to:

  • see Nuna
  • hear more about the adventure of the Alpha Centauri team
  • learn more about solar energy

Selected schools are invited to organise a common event with other schools in their area with the aim of involving as many children and youngsters as possible.

ESA Education Office will collect the request for such an event and set up a schedule. If your school is interested you can hand in a request before 10th May and participate in the selection!
