Meteorite artist meets the public

On Tuesday, 30 July, artist Katie Paterson will be featured at an 'Artist's Talk' at the Turner Contemporary Gallery, Margate, UK, starting at 15:00 BST. She will present her meteorite art to the public and answer questions, together with Dr Alice Bunn from the UK Space Agency.Register to win free tickets.

Paterson’s installation, Campo del Cielo, Field of the Sky, (see 18 June: “Meteorite science meets an artist’s dream of spaceflight”) is on display at Turner Contemporary this summer, and features a 4.5 billion-year-old meteorite that has been cast, melted and recast as a model of itself, retaining its original form.

 

Turner Contemporary are giving away three pairs of tickets to Katie's talk. To enter the draw please register via ESA's ATV blog.
