Compact Tool Exchange Device

3D rendering of the design of the Compact Tool Exchange Device (CTED). The picture shows the two parts of the CTED. On top the actuated CTED-R (R stands for robot) attaches to the wrist of a robot. At the bottom the passive CTED-T (Tstands for tool) attaches to a robot tool (e.g. a gripper, a socket driver, a dexterous hand). The two parts are separated and aligned for mating.
