World Summit on Space Transportation Business

13 May 2002
The 4th edition of the World Summit on Space Transportation Business, including the World Forum of Space Agencies, will be held in Paris on 13-14 May.

These meetings, organized by Euroconsult in cooperation with ESA, will bring together representatives of agencies and industries concerned with space transportation from an estimated 21 countries.

Participating in the Summit will be representatives of public and private satellite operators, space agencies and research and development institutes, launcher and satellite manufacturers, launch service providers and turnkey satellite suppliers, as well as banks, investors and insurance companies. The presence of all the most important players in the space transportation business offers a unique opportunity for networking.

Subjects on the agenda for discussion include best practices in launch procurement, launch service adaptation to operators’ expectations and key strategic issues for the space transportation business. The World Agencies Forum on Space Transportation will meet on 14 May to discuss research programmes for tomorrow’s launchers and to explore opportunities for a broader international cooperation.
