| | | | | Conor Keegan won the Galileo Masters 2006 competition with his proposal for an innovative seismography system using the very accurate GNSS timing signals, which will be available when the European Galileo system becomes operational in 2011-12. The solution proposed by Keegan will considerably reduce the cost of seismography surveys and open up the lower end of the seismography market. For example, it could be used by development agencies to locate sites for water wells, to survey potential archaeological sites before starting digs or by local councils to perform hazardous waste site studies.
