Rosetta directa hacia su Segundo sobrevuelo a la tierra   Rosetta cerca de la Tierra.     13 noviembre 2007   Ya están casi terminados los preparativos para la aproximación de la sonda Rosetta a la Tierra prevista esta noche a las 21:57 CET. La maniobra realizada el 18 de Octubre del 2007 se realizó con la suficiente precisión con lo que no ha hecho falta realizar hoy, ninguna corrección en su trayectoria.   Esto quiere decir que las operaciones más críticas para el éxito de este sobrevuelo han sido ya superadas con éxito. Sin embargo, el equipo de operaciones está continuamente pendiente para cerciorarse que no hay nada que altere la velocidad y la dirección de Rosetta, y que la estabilidad se mantenga a través de todas las observaciones.         Rosetta sobrevolando la Tierra   Las observaciones se podrán hacer, solo a partir de esta tarde, pero todos los instrumentos están ya preparados para estos procedimientos tan delicados. Rosetta se ha posicionado ya para apuntar a ciertas áreas en el espacio para proceder a su calibración, operación que durará aproximadamente 24 horas.
