For our special Moon contest the grand prize goes to Eleni from Greece! Congratulations Eleni! She will soon be receiving a prize from ESA and the Smurfs!
ESA Kids received over 450 entries for last month’s Space Gallery contest. The artwork received consisted of drawings, collages, models and paintings. Participants came from six different countries, with an amazing number of entries from Greece.
More runners-up were chosen this month, as we had all kinds of goodies from the Smurfs to give away. The first runner-up is Kalliopi from Greece, who sent us a model of the rising Moon. Next runner-up is Imogen from the UK, who made a realistic papier maché model of our Earth’s satellite.
Giorgia, Mariella, Katerina and Annie’s (Greece) painting of a blue moon was chosen as next runner-up, as well as Givevra’s (Italy) and Dora’s (Greece) brilliant drawings.
Class A1 of Chalkidora High School in Greece made a beautiful 3D collage of the Moon, Kassandra (Greece) made a colourful Solar System, Giorgia (Greece) and Eirini (Greece) both did a beautiful drawing of the Moon, and Apeinoh a stunning painting of our satellite and its reflection in the sea.
