Samantha chooses Futura mission winners!
18 December 2014
ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti has been living and working on the ISS since 23 November this year. Even though she has a tight work schedule, she took the time to look at the Futura mission artwork we received last month, and chose the lucky winners!
The winners of the Futura misson are children between the ages of 5 and 8 from Spain, who represented Samantha’s mission on a beautiful tableau. They were careful to include all the activities performed by Samantha on the ISS, and included one of the important aspects of the Futura mission, which is nutrition. Congratulations on your hard work!
Our first runner-up is a class from Bolzano, Italy, who made this great collage of the mission. Great work, students!
Our next runner-up, Roberto from Spain, made this wonderful model of the International Space Station.
The artwork from Grade 4 students from Reggio Emilia, Italy, was also selected by Samantha. They made this cool paper model of Samantha being launched to the ISS!
And last, but not least, is Alice, who is 7 years old and from Italy, who also made this great drawing of Samantha in the ISS.
Congratulations to all our winners, and thanks to all of you who participated! The winning artwork is now published in our Art Gallery. Go check it out!
