Currently, no services have yet been established specifically for climate change. However, several projects and initiatives are exploring vital climate change issues by using products from existing projects in the land, marine and atmosphere domains. These projects include:
- A 30-year re-analysis of carbon fluxes and pools over Europe and the globe, Carbones
- Monitoring and assessing regional climate change in high latitudes and the Arctic, Monarch-A
- European reanalysis and observations for monitoring, EURO4M
- European re-analysis of global climate observations, ERA-CLIM
These projects started in 2010 and will last until 2013/2014. They use the outputs of other projects to meet identified needs in terms of resolution and timeliness, and to provide specific climate change products that are required to meet European needs.
