13 February 2003 An open-competition Invitation to Tender (ITT) has just been issued for the development of the Payload Data Segment (PDS) for the Level 0 – Level 1 data processing component of the GOCE Ground Segment.

A further Announcement of Opportunity is expected in the second quarter of 2003, which will cover the development of the GOCE Level 1 – Level 2 scientific data processing element of the ground segment.
