Planetary protection

Planetary protection is already a tricky technology issue when considering geology missions to Mars. It becomes much more demanding when it comes to searching for life. In that case, surface elements have to be cleaned and sterilised before, on and after AIT stage in such a way as to get as reduced contamination from Earth as possible to avoiding false detection leading to dramatic conclusions.
