The dynamism, flexibility and innovative capabilities of high technology small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are of high value to Europe’s space industry. ESA actively encourage this industrial group to become involved in its space programmes.
Space Industry Skillnet : State-of-the-art Courses in Space Systems Safety
 
European space companies are offered the opportunity to access a world class training programme in space safety-related topics. A number of these courses include contributions from world-leading experts and practitioners.
An Open Call (AO5658) for proposals from SMEs with new ideas : the Initiative for ESA Telecom Newcomers
 
ESA's Telecommunication Department has supported Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) participation via several initiatives over the years. The Initiative for ESA Telecom Newcomers(IETN) has evolved from this process.
