Technology transfer conference to boost Europe’s research-to-market competitiveness

Co organised by ESA, the EIROforum Technology Transfer conference, taking place in Heidelberg, Germany, 18–19 November, will explore European transfer technology best practices and innovations to boost European research.
EIROforum consists of seven intergovernmental organisations: ESA, CERN, EFDA, EMBL, ESO, ESRF and ILL*, which all have extensive expertise in fundamental research and the management of large, international infrastructures, facilities and research programmes. These seven organisations joined forces in the EIROforum to combine their resources, facilities and expertise to support European science in reaching its full potential.
The EIROforum Technology Transfer conference will set out to explore new approaches for efficiently managing research marketing and technology transfer. Its goal is to uncover new ways to translate leading-edge scientific and technology research into innovative applications that will boost the economy for Europe and the benefit its citizens.
Working sessions will be held on setting up effective collaborations and partnerships, intellectual property management, technology transfer infrastructure and tools and financing technology transfer.
The meeting is a unique opportunity to bring together representatives of European advanced science and technology infrastructures, European politicians, representatives of European industry, representatives of the national governments of the EU and other research communities.
Thus the EIROforum Technology Transfer conference will bring together the major European stakeholders to address issues that are essential for the progress of Europe research and transfer activities.
