Sweden takes part in global navigation

The first Ranging and Integrity Monitoring Station (RIMS) was installed at the Lantmäteriet, the National Land Survey of Sweden in March 2003. The Lantmäteriet provides national infrastructure and facilitates navigation/positioning using the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS).

The sophisticated ground segment for European Global Navigation and Overlay system (EGNOS) will consist of about 30 Ranging and Integrity Monitoring Stations (RIMSs).
