The Industrial Partnership

Various European companies have already expressed interest in actively participating in the development of the EuroMoon project by contributing hardware and specialist engineers to staff the core mission team. The concept is akin that of a European sports team made up of key European players (Industry) from the participating nations (ESA Member States) brought together to achieve the common goal of reaching the lunar South Pole at the dawn of the New Millennium, with the European Space Agency as mentor and coach.

The EuroMoon project is proposed as a novel business venture- capital-type approach in which the industrial participants must give a guarantee in advance for the delivery of their particular contribution in order to qualify for a share in the expected potential short- and long-term benefits. An extensive marketing and commercialisation effort is foreseen in parallel with the development effort to raise the necessary funds on the basis of directly and indirectly related commercial benefits/products and advertising opportunities.

The following companies have already committed their support to EuroMoon 2000:

AEROSPATIALE (F)

ALENIA SPAZIO (I)

DAIMLER-BENZ AEROSPACE (D)

FOKKER SPACE (NL)

MATRA MARCONI SPACE (UK/F)

OERLIKON-CONTRAVES AG (CH)

ROVSING A/S (DK)

SENER (E)
