Follow the launch of IXV!
ESA's Intermediate eXperimental Vehicle is planned for launch by Vega into a sub-orbital path this 11 February at 13h00 GMT from Europe's spaceport in Kourou.
During its flight, and in particular as it re-enters the atmosphere, IXV will test new critical technologies necessary for returning autonomously from Space.
IXV is supposed to splash downin the Pacific Ocean some 1h 40 minutes after lift off.
The video transmission will follow last minutes preparation in French Guyana, lift off and ascent and IXV flight via its mission control centre in Turin and from its recovery ship in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
