This VNR reports on the aims of the conference. It comprises of 3 minute split track A-roll with English commentary and is complemented by a B-Roll with clean international sound.
Becoming an astronaut and exploring the universe is the stuff of children's fantasies - but up to now the idea of studying space has been confined to the science labs. Now the European Space Agency - ESA, wants to make learning about the galaxies a relevant part of studying subjects across the board:
Next month the world's first International Space Station, the ISS, will be used by ESA to bring Space down to earth and into the classroom when it holds a unique conference for teachers from across Europe.
Already the world's largest international scientific endeavour, the ISS is permanently manned by three - ESA's conference will let teacher hear first hand about life and learning in Space:
Hosted at European Space Agency's facilities in the Netherlands, Teach Space 2001 will give tutors the knowledge and understanding to make finding out about deep space a subject for all children, not just those who enjoy physics.
