Looking at life in space

A sophisticated IMAX3D camera will be onboard the STS-100 mission to record footage of the crew’s activities. Housed in an insulated, pressurised container in the cargo bay, the camera will be operated remotely by the crew members and, together with a digital audio recorder and microphones, will document the dramatic moments of the astronauts mission activities outside the shuttle.

Another camera, which was launched to the ISS on a previous mission, has already captured interior views of the ISS and given us an insight into the everyday lives of astronauts on the Station both at work and leisure.
