The Swiss Space Office will hold a national workshop on the European Space Agency’s Core Technology Programme (CTP). The goal of the workshop is to address questions of industrial R&D stakeholders who are interested in the technology development process of ESA.

We will also provide information about the upcoming Science missions and their technology needs. The latter will have to be developed, depending on the mission and the current Technology Readiness Level (TRL), within the next decade or earlier. Companies (including SMEs), public or private R&D institutions, as well as other technology-oriented stakeholders who have competencies to major technological challenges through R&D and are interested to contribute to European Space Technology are solicited to participate.

The workshop will be hosted in the premises of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation SERI at Einsteinstrasse 2 in Bern. Speakers from the Swiss Space Office SSO, the Swiss Space Center SSC and the European Space Agency ESA will present insight into ESA’s technology development roadmap, the so called Core Technology Programme CTP as well as specific means and measures to support R&D of space technology.
