Earth System Science
Earth System Science is an interdisciplinary field which treats Earth as an integrated system where physical, chemical, biological, and human interactions determine its past, current, and future states. The space environment offers unique opportunities to improve the current understanding of Earth and its response to anthropogenic and natural changes.
Several topics have been investigated, including space options for tropical cyclone hazard mitigation and laser filamentation for spaceborne atmospheric research. You will find more information in the ongoing and past projects pages below.
