Prospection of Invisibility Devices for Space
The pioneering papers of J.B. Pendry, U. Leonhardt and N. Engheta on design of invisibility devices have raised a lot of attention in different technological and scientific disciplines. The ability of guiding light in an unprecedented way opens the door to address from a new perspective problems related with shielding, reduction of scattering, obstacles avoidance. This Workshop summarises the results of four studies performed by the ACT in collaboration with different Universities. Within this collaboration the ACT brought together five fields of expertise: Metamaterials, Photonics, Nanotechnology, Fundamental Physics and Space Engineering.
