Analogue Transformational Acoustics

In this project we propose a new formulation of the transformational approach to acoustic metamaterials based on the idea of analogue gravity. The aim is to obtain a more natural extension to acoustic of the powerful transformational techniques devised for optics.

Mapping the Spacetime Metric with a Global Navigation Satellite System

A constellation of satellites moving in spacetime probe its geometry. If communication between the satellites is provided then one could extract a set of data in order to do relativistic gravimetry.

Vibrating systems in general relativity

Vibrating systems can have an interesting behaviour in general relativity. In this project simple systems with time dependent constraints are considered. We study the deviation of these vibrating systems from a free fall trajectory.
