End of Studies training periods

General Description:
Students, who are often required to gain some practical experience during their university studies, may undertake a "stage" from 1 to 6 months maximum in the Agency. These (non-paid) traineeships are available for technical areas as well as non-technical areas.

Priority is given in principle to students in their last year of studies.

Training opportunities can be offered at the various ESA Establishments depending on the fields of study. Anyone interested in applying should consult the web pages of our various sites to check to which Establishment they should send their application form once carefully completed, for example.

• HQ: Law, International Affairs, Communications/Public Relations, Finance, Human Resources etc.
• ESTEC: All disciplines of Space engineering science, Telecommunications, Earth observation and Microgravity research, Crewed in-orbit infrastructure and Automatic platform projects etc.
• ESOC: Spacecraft in orbit exploitation: Tracking of satellite, receiveing & processing signals (scientific data, weather information and images) etc.
• ESRIN: Managing data obtained from Remote Sensing satellites, processing, archiving and distribution of these data, coordinating development of information and managing ESA documentation etc.
