Alcune delle straordinarie immagini inviate dall'astronauta dell'ESA Luca Parmitano, attualmente a bordo della Stazione Spaziale Internazionale,

Qui, una selezione di vedute dell'Italia. Parmitano invia regolarmente le immagini tramite il suo account Twitter @astro_luca e via Facebook, e tiene un blog in italiano, disponibile nel minisito Volare.

Parmitano è partito dal cosmodromo di Baikonour, in Kazakistan, il 28 maggio 2013 con la Spedizione 36/37 insieme ai colleghi Fyodor Yurchikhin, comandante russo della Soyuz, e Karen Nyberg, astronauta NASA. La missione di Luca, denominata "Volare", è parte di un accordo bilaterale ASI-NASA. Parmitano e colleghi rimarrano a bordo della Stazione fino agli inizi di novembre.

Dopo aver partecipato alle operazioni di aggancio dell'ATV, il Veicolo di Trasferimento Automatico che porta rifornimenti di ogni genere alla Stazione, Luca sarà impegnato - primo italiano - nei prossimi giorni, in attività extra-veicolari.
