This image, obtained by Cassini’s SAR radar during the third fly by of Titan, shows longitudinal dunes on the surface. The area covered is about 250 kilometres wide, and it is centred at 20° North and 95° West. During a later flyby of Titan, Cassini’s radar found out that these dunes, of eolian origin, are actually pervasive, present on vast sand seas in the equatorial region.
