At the ESA Business Incubation Centre Bavaria ‘1000 jobs created’ event on 24 April 2013 in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany, ESA Director General Jean-Jacques Dordain and Anwendungszentrum GmbH Oberpfaffenhofen (AZO) CEO Thorsten Rudolph signed an agreement to extend the incubation efforts of the Bavarian centre, allowing new start-ups to be selected and guaranteeing economic growth for the region. Head of ESA Technology Transfer Programme Office (TTPO) Frank M. Salzgeber (behind left) and ESA Contract Officer Adriana Lucas (behind right) participated. Overall, the contract extension will support up to 90 more start-ups by 2019. AZO is operating ESA BIC Bavaria under contract with ESA TTPO.
