7 - Award and Placing of Contracts

ESA’s relevant authorities in the initiating services and the Procurement Department make a decision based on the recommendations submitted by the Tender Evaluation Board (TEB). Economic factors and industrial policy can also influence the decision.

The approved Tenderer is then invited by the Contracts Officer to attend a meeting for final negotiation of the contract. In particular, the discussions are expected to cover the negotiation points identified in the TEB report.

After the negotiation meeting, the final version of the contract and its annexes are prepared and processed by ESA before being sent to the Contractor for signature.
