Call for applications for External Chair of ESA Advisory Board
Following the recent approval by ESA Member States of the reform of Agency’s internal justice system, ESA is looking for an External Chair of its Advisory Board to strengthen its dispute settlement system.
The Advisory Board is an internal review body that hears cases of employment-related disputes between ESA and its staff members, former staff members or persons entitled under them. The Board issues non-binding recommendations to the Director General. The Chair will be nominated for a period of 5 years (renewable once) and, with their recognised competence in law, will chair the Advisory Board meetings and deliberations, giving its opinion to the Director General on whether a challenged administrative decision should be confirmed, rescinded or modified and on certain dismissal or termination of appointment proposals.
