Join the Capsule livestream to discover more about the YGT Programme
On 10 February at 20:00 CET two current ESA YGTs, Lisa de Backer and Perrum Singh Rehal, and Talent Acquisition Specialist Florence Loustalot will be the guests of the programme La Capsule on Twitch, itself hosted by former YGT Corentin Buti.
If you are planning to apply for a 2021 Young Graduate Trainee opportunity, this is a great opportunity to hear first-hand experiences of the programme from the class of 2019-2020.
La Capsule is a space outreach programme with regular input from the people who work in the space field; talking about their career paths, discussing the missions they are working on, or giving other insights. It’s broadcast live on Twitch (www.twitch.tv/corentin_buti) and viewers can use the live chat to interact with guests or ask questions.
The show began mainly in French, but is now offering more programming in English - the YGT Programme livestream will be in English.
Meet the ESA team in advance:
Lisa de Backer
After obtaining her master’s degree in Space Exploration in Delft, Lisa joined ESA as a YGT Systems Engineer for future Mars missions. Now in her second year as YGT, she is currently seconded to Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse, working on the Earth Return Orbiter for the Mars Sample Return campaign.
Perrum Singh Rehal
Perrum currently works as a YGT in engineering and operations support for the REXUS/BEXUS programme in ESA Education.
The programme enables students from universities and higher education institutions across Europe to carry out scientific and technological experiments on research rockets and balloons.
Florence Loustalot
Florence is a Talent Acquisition Specialist at ESA. One of her key responsibilities is coordination of ESA’s entry-level programmes, including the YGT Programme.
Corentin Buti
Corentin is the founder and host of La Capsule. Corentin held a YGT in thermal engineering until September 2020, where he worked on a future space telescope and on a cryogenic test experiment. He is now working in industry at Aerospacelab as a Thermal Engineer on small satellite projects.
He will also be sharing his experiences as a YGT on 10 February.
