About the ECSL Legal Database

Dissemination and promotion within Europe of knowledge, learning and practice related to Space Law represent one of the ECSL main goals.

It has become now a difficult task to know and to have access to the considerable amount of legal texts available, therefore to have a clear, comprehensive and concrete understanding and definition of space law.

With ESA’s support, ECSL has set up a space law database called “ECSL Legal Database”. It aims to help all those involved or interested in space to find information about space laws and regulations by searching through its database, and to assist them in learning more about them.

The ECSL Legal Database can be consulted via our homepage. It contains an extensive bibliography on space law as well as legal texts relating to ESA, the UN and other international and national institutions involved in the development of space activities.
