Proton rocket

The Proton rocket which is carrying a crucial piece of the International Space Station's service module is shown lifting off at the launch pad in Baikonur, Kazakstan, Wednesday, July 12, 2000. The flawless launch of the Zvezda module from the Baikonur space facility in Kazakstan clears the way for six to eight U.S. shuttle flights a year through 2005 hauling hundreds of tons of additional modules and equipment.
