Christian Bec from Syntony from ESA BIC Sud France, explained how Syntony ia a game changer in the location business, at "The ESA Story - How new business models disrupt space business" session at the Space Foundation´s 34th Space Conference on 18 April 2018.
They can simulate perfectly and precisely and in full synchronization the other sensors, like star-tracker, Gyro, sun-sensor, etc., the GNSS signal that would be received by a GNSS antenna positioned on a satellite in LEO, during one or more complete orbits.
It is used during all the phases from the satellite development to the validation, and final test. Syntony`s SoftSpot product supports multi-constellation, multi-frequency and also multi-antenna onboard GNSS receiver and is intended for launcher application.
This product has no known equivalent on the market, as it has the capacity to switch from an antenna to another totally seamlessly. For satellite application, it can also bring continuous positioning even if the satellite is rotating.
