Teach with Space Online Training

Dates: 20 and 27 October 2021
Level: Open to upper primary and lower secondary school teachers
Time: 16h30 - 18h30 CEST
Duration: 4 hours, divided in 2 sessions of 2h.

In this training we will explore the role of Earth Observation in understanding our changing climate and how these topics can be integrated in your lessons. We will present some of the essential climate variables scientists use to monitor our climate from above and provide examples of hands-on activities and projects that can be developed in the classroom, such as the Climate Detectives project. We will also explore the EO Browser, an online tool that provides easy and free access to satellite images from different Earth Observation missions, for you to bring satellites to your classroom. Join this training and engage your students to become Climate Detectives!

The online training is open to primary and secondary school teachers of STEM-related subjects teaching students aged 8-15 years old and working within any ESA Member State. Teachers from Canada, Slovenia, Latvia, Lithuania and Malta may also apply, due to specific agreements with ESA.
