Register for AgroSpace-MELiSSA workshop 16-18 May, 2018
The first joint AgroSpace-MELiSSA workshop will take place 16-18 May 2018, highlighting research and development related to life support regenerative systems and fostering collaboration between researchers, companies and public bodies. You are invited to register and consider presenting related research.
The long history and experience of the Agrospace workshop and MELiSSA programme are teaming up to share knowledge on regenerative life support system, and paving the way for the International development of closed loop systems.
The 2016 AgroSpace and MELiSSA workshops demonstrated that common fundamentals are shared by these respective research communities, including air, water, waste recycling, food production and preparation, aiming to develop regenerative life support and closed loop systems. As a logical follow-up, the organisers have decided to combine in organising a joint event.
11 main topics have been identified:
- Organic wastes processing and refinery
- Urine treatment
- Water recycling (grey water and condensate)
- Edible biomass production
- Food quality, processing and human nutrition
- Physical, chemical and microbial contaminants
- Modelling and system design
- Flight experiments and space technology demonstrators
- Ground demonstration and analogue testing
- Terrestrial applications
- Societal impacts and education
Conference Venue
The workshop will be held in Rome, at the Headquarters of the Italian Research Council (CNR).
Address
Piazzale Aldo Moro 7,
Rome,
Italy.
